Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 7:18PM Banks, McAvoy To Battle Raccoons in 'The Details'
I'm all for this casting: James McAvoy, Elizabeth Banks, Laura Linney, and Anna Friel in a dark comedy called The Details. OK, maybe not all for it, but certainly three-fourths; I haven't seen enough of Anna Friel to make up my mind on her.

It's about raccoon infestation, which I'm guessing means we'll have a coyote urine scene similar to the one from The Soloist. Of course, since nobody saw The Soloist, that shouldn't pose a problem. Apparently, this is a huge problem throughout the country, but I live in a desert, so I have no idea. But the movie will film in Seattle, and I hear it's bad up there.
Banks and McAvoy will play a couple coming to grips with all the raccoons in their back yard, after which, Variety reports that "disagreements over how to deal with the animals lead to an escalating series of events." Carl Spackler, anyone?
But I do like the cast, so that's a start. Mean Creek director Jacob Estes wrote the script and will direct The Details, which, no offense, isn't exactly like doing a Coen Brothers movie on the surface.
But I do like the cast...

All sounds good to me... Mean Creek was great and all four actors are good, Anna Friel being from the 'deserved a batter fate' Pushing Daisies. Will watch this one for sure.
Mean Creek was good? I heard bad things, if I heard anything at all.
