Check Out Mickey Rourke as Whiplash in 'Iron Man 2'

No, it's not Randy "The Ram" Robinson gearing up for another hardcore rules match in the sequel to The Wrestler. It's Mickey Rourke as Whiplash from Iron Man 2. This shot appeared on USAToday.com, with a little director's commentary from Jon Favreau. "The technologies are definitely related, and that's part of the core theme of the film," Favreau says. Favs adds that Whiplash has built his own version of the Iron Man suit that features that glowing power pack deal, some whips, and OnStar. It's also a hybrid. I pointed out maybe two weeks ago what I think has gotten lost a little bit this summer: Iron Man 2 is the next superhero flick hitting theaters, so by the time May 2010 rolls around, audiences should be more than ready to flip open the pages of a Marvel movie. So I'm sure Marvel and Paramount will carefully place trailers and images over the next several months to take advantage of the wait.
