Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 6:08PM New International Trailer for '(500) Days of Summer'
I saw and greatly enjoyed (500) Days of Summer at The Phoenix Film Festival in April. I wouldn't say it's a typical romantic comedy, even if you'd consider it an "indie." It sure looks like it comes from the same mold as a lot of them, but once you see it, I think you'll agree with me. I'm showing you this new trailer just so you can get the vibe of the movie; I think it does a pretty bad job of selling the story, though.

(500) Days stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who meets and falls madly in love with Summer (Zooey Deschanel). This is the Zoeeyist role Deschanel has played, in my opinion - smart, vibrant, and alluring, but with that hint that she could change direction at any time. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is also really good, which is becoming less and less necessary to point out.
So here's the international trailer for (500) Days of Summer, which is due out next month in selected cities, and expanding after that.
