The Latest Poster for the Animated '9'

I advise you to check out the trailer for Shane Acker's 9, if you haven't already. And then after that, maybe find the short film version he made about four or five years ago. It looks for all the world like a real honest-to-goodness animated movie for adults. I mean, unless you want your kids to think about the apocalypse, that is. Acker's 3-D film comes in early September, where Focus Features has had plenty of luck before. Considering the studio scored a decent hit with the similarly uncompromising Coraline, it's possible Focus could go two-for-two with animated movies that don't cater specifically to kids.
