Friday, June 12, 2009 at 7:18AM Trailer - Travolta, Williams in 'Old Dogs'
The good news is I expected the trailer for Old Dogs to actually be worse. Let's lay it
all out: It's that old Wild Hogs magic, reteaming Tron
Javolta and director Walt Becker
(who should not be confused for one of the members of Steely Dan), and it's got Robin Williams, who unfortunately is years removed
from his last good comedy.

So when I watched the trailer I thought it would be really, really awful. I'm not saying it looks
good, mind you, and I find it a little creepy that Williams makes out with Kelly Preston right in front of her husband, but
Seth Green might be able to steal a scene here and there.
But I do think this will fare pretty well when it hits theaters in November, and since both guys
have had harrowing years, particularly Travolta, they're certainly due some good news.

Looks funnier than Wild Hogs at least.
I just watched Wild Hogs for the first time the other day with a friend, mainly because it was the only thing said friend had on their shelf that I hadn't seen. And where I understand that having a friend with Wild Hogs on their DVD shelf is probably grounds for that friendship to be annulled, the movie was actually much better than I thought it would be, and as I recall, was the surprise hit of the year it came out. This Old Dogs movie could be pretty good too, and should tide the world over until a Wild Hogs sequel emerges.
Sigh.
I miss Martin Lawrence.
Plickity Plickow!
Justin long, Matt dillon, Seth Green. Good supporting cast surrounding the "old dogs".
