Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 8:40AM Trailer - Paul Bettany as Charles Darwin in 'Creation'
This year is the bicentennial of Charles Darwin, the father of the Theory of
Evolution. Little known fact: He was also the father of the original pogo stick. Perhaps if they
make a sequel to Creation...

Yes, the film with the ironic title is about Darwin's discovery and his personal and professional
struggles to stand by arguably the single most important scientific notion between gravity and
relativity. Paul Bettany plays Darwin and Jennifer Connelly, conveniently, portrays his wife.
I've been a Bettany fan since A Knight's Tale, and he has a knack of being better than the
material. Usually, it just doesn't say much for the material, but I sure hope the scripts catch up
to him sooner than later. Here's the first trailer for Creation:
The film opens in the U.K. this September, with a U.S. release still undetermined.

I agree. He was awesome as Chaucer in A Knight's Tale, right? He steals every scene he's in. Looking forward to this one.
