Angelina Jolie Back for 'Wanted 2'?

I had a lot of fun with Wanted last summer. It's a total turn off your brain movie, and you should know that going in; after all, they do curve the trajectory of bullets in the trailers. The movie made good money, and the sequel to the comic book adaptation was almost immediately announced, but there hasn't been a great deal of movement since then.

Director Timur Bekmambetov now tells RIA Novosti (via Digital Spy), "In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia."

Somewhat surprisingly, Bekmambetov believes he's found a way to bring Angelina Jolie back. I won't tell you why that's not possible in a sequel if you haven't seen the first flick, but it sure would need a good explanation.

Last we heard, Mark Millar, who wrote the original comic, was helping write the 2011 sequel, and James McAvoy will obviously return, as well. I would guess, knowing nothing about the story for the sequel, that Jolie's appearance could be a flashback or two.

That would be great, as far as I'm concerned, because it wouldn't take much away from moving the story forward. I'm sure that's partially a studio concern, as well, because she does move some tickets.

Hmmm... the magic bullet had lost considerable velocity after so many impacts that by the time it reached its final destination there was impact but not enough to kill. Assuming I've recalled that last hit correctly as not having created an exit wound, Jolie isn't necessarily dead.

Well, I'll wait to see what District Attorney Jim Garrison presents in court on that, I guess. Hope they can connect Clay Shaw to the shooting.
