Monday, June 15, 2009 at 5:51PM Cera Says 'Arrested Development' in a State of Arrested Development
I shake my fist at Michael Cera whenever one of those lame commercials for Year One shows up. Why? Because I am waiting oh so patiently for the movie spin-off of Arrested Development.

The movie hasn't happened yet, and while I can't pin it all on young George-Michael, of course, he sure didn't seem too psyched about jumping back into the Bluth family. But with literally everyone else involved eager to make the movie and Mitch Hurwitz writing the script, I just watch those new commercials for the Cera-Jack Black movie and think, "This? Really?"
Collider asked Cera if, with all downtime, he thinks an Arrested Development movie will ever happen. “I think it will. Yeah," Cera said. "I don’t see why it wouldn’t. I don’t think it will happen for awhile.”
“But there is no rush," added the guy who didn't think making the movie was a good idea. "I think he should take his time. I know it means a lot to Mitch. There is no rush, really. I don’t think.”
I agree that Hurwitz should take his time to get it right, but he said as far back as a year ago that he was working on ideas, and Jeffrey Tambor and Will Arnett in particular has stated that the it's closer to being on the front burner than the back burner.
I'm dyin' over here...

haven't watched doll house cause it'll get killed is it any good?
I hear there's going to be a new season of futurama next year
They should give Arrested Development the Family Guy treatment and just bring it back.
What could this movie possibly be about? As funny as the show was, as much as I loved it and as funny as some of the subplots were in the last season, it ran it's course. I thought Michael Cera was brilliant in Arrested Development until I realized he wasn't acting - he was just reading lines as himself. Either that or he only knows how to play George-Michael in everything. See Superbad, Nick and Norah, Juno, Year One, TV promos, etc, etc. He's the same in every damn thing, monotone/awkward/unsure. Am I the only one who sees this? He needs to play something completely different - if he is able to.
