Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 3:31AM Jason Voorhees to Frolic in Freshly Fallen Flakes?
On Friday, August 13, 2010, the producers of Friday the 13th may let it
snow, let it snow, let it snow. Talking to IGN, producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form hinted that
Jason would return on "a nice date coming up next summer." There's only one Friday the 13th next
summer, by the way.

When asked the seemingly out of the blue question about whether or not Friday the 13th Part
2 (as Fuller calls it) would take place in the dead of winter, Fuller's reply was, "You know,
we were having a blast on the set; we want to have fun. We also want to bring things [audiences]
haven't seen before and one of the things that they haven't seen before is Jason in the snow."
Later in the interview, Fuller denied everything - the movie was greenlit, the release date, the
script, the snow, all of it - going so far as to say the next movie would absolutely not
take place in the snow. Sounds to me like he's just trying to close Pandora's box.
Think about it: If you've got to see another Jason movie, wouldn't you want it to be something new?
I think we can assume a musical is out of the question. And the tradition of the series is to kind
of keep the same model and just change the location around a bit. I think a Friday the 13th
in the snow would have much more going for it than a bunch of teens at Camp Crystal Lake again. In fact, the recent remake was perfectly fine...until everything shifted to Jason's favorite haunt.

Jason in the snow does conjure some fun that might be had. Jason could be disguised as a snowman, some teens spot him and decide to bowl him over like they've done to a dozen others down the street. One runs in for the take down only to find himself impaled by a rather long blade. Jason's head turns toward the other teens as the snow falls from him, they scream, run and the fun begins. Maybe have Jason show up to help someone whose car is stuck in the snow and he does only to then kill them and take their car. There's plenty of things they could toss into the mix with a winter setting but I doubt we'll ever see them.
