Friday, June 19, 2009 at 2:11AM Remixed Trailer for Gerard Butler's 'Gamer'
For certain movies, I think a remixed trailer can work pretty well. In the case of
Gamer, I'm diggin' the remix more than the original. Of course, it loses some context, but it
certainly stands out quite a bit.

As for why it works, it's because Gamer, written and directed by Crank creators Neveldine
and Taylor, is about being inside a video game, or perhaps more precisely, The Running Man meets a
first person shooter game. A remixed trailer would be a bad idea for, say, Doubt, but here, it's a
perfect complement to the attitude they're trying to portray and hits the audience they need to hit.
So check it out. The remix is by Mike Relm, and we saw this first at Trailer Addict:
Gamer with Gerard Butler will be in theaters on September 4th.

ugh that was so fkn obnoxious, I couldn't make it past the first 45 seconds. terrible
I saw Mike Relm live w/ Blue Man Group about a year ago. Amazing. You should check out his stuff on Youtube. He mixes in a series of audio mash-ups with video images, manipulated in real-time. He samples artists like Lynard Skynard, Beastie Boys, and the theme from Charlie Brown. Fun stuff.
