'Teen Wolf' the Latest 80s Movie Being Remade

Before you get peeved that Warner Bros. is remaking Teen Wolf, please keep in
mind that Teen Wolf was itself not a brand new idea. The story is completely different, but there
was a little something called I Was a Teenage Werewolf back in the late 1950s. Coincidentally, the
star of both movies (Michael J. Fox and Michael Landon) had shows on NBC in the mid-80s.

So, yeah, Moviehole says Teen Wolf is in early development. I don't care much either way; there are
so many remakes now and that's not exactly Chinatown, now is it? The good news about the remake is
Warner Bros. appears to be pretty serious about getting it off the ground, which means maybe the studio
will invest some money into it and we can get some decent makeup and effects, clearly a weak part of the
first Teen Wolf...and Teen Wolf Too, too.
According to Moviehole, the project is out to a bunch of writers and the studio is waiting for the script
they fall in love with. No director or star is on board, either, but whoever gets the roles Zac Efron turns down would be my bet.
I hope this is actually a pretty ridiculous comedy. It's really the only chance it has. You can't do a straight homage and have it work. That is, if it can work at all.
