Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 8:08PM First Look at Michael Fassbender in 'Jonah Hex'
The next DC Comics movie adaptation won't be in theaters for a while. Jonah
Hex arrives in August 2010, starring Josh Brolin, John Malkovich, and Megan Fox, who recently
admitted she only worked on the film for about a week, so don't expect too much from her.
We've seen pictures of Fox and Brolin on set and in character, and now we're getting our first look
at Michael Fassbender. Probably best known for his work in Band of Brothers or as Stelios in
300, Fassbender has caught the attention of Tarantino (he's in Inglourious Basterds)
and Neil Marshall of The Descent fame (Centurion). He's also great in Hunger, by the way.

Fassbender plays the villainous Burke in the film, the main henchman for John Malkovich's character, Turnbull. The guy on the right is my brother, Sean, who plays The Preacher in Jonah Hex, so thanks to Sean for sending in the pic.

i know him from hunger, where he was so amazing in his role, i had to turn away from the screen at times, it was that painful to watch.
Hi
I dunno who designed these 'tattoos', but the designs on the chin and chest appear derived from Maori ta moko. (Just like in the movie 'Once Were Warriors'), The forearms, appear to be Samoan (Tatau or Pe'a).
Unfortunately, the moko kauae or chin tattoo in New Zealand is solely for women. Men wore a full face (or half face design). This actor is wearing a womens face tattoo!! Hardly macho! LOL. Hollywood - please do some research before you go using tribal designs.
It would sort of be like a man 'having "I AM A WOMAN" tattoed on his face in Chinese characters.
Totally was thinking the same thing as the above comment. Was watching the movie thinking i hope this guy knows he wearing a moko for women LMAO.
The tat is bad Ass regardless....
Definitely a moko-kauae design. This is a woman's design- its unfortunate that they didn't research abit more because Maori design is known worldwide & this just undermines the integrity of the design. Kia tau te rangimarie.
