Rob Zombie's Heroine Now a 'Runaway'

The rock bio-pic The Runaways now has a lead guitarist. Scout Taylor-Compton from Rob Zombie's Halloween movies will play Lita Ford opposite Kristen Stewart (Joan Jett), Dakota Fanning (Cherie Currie), and Stella Maeve (Sandy West).

Taylor-Compton was originally rumored to be playing bassist Jackie Fox, with Alessandra Torresani in the role of Lita Ford, but via her own MySpace page and Variety, Scout is confirmed as Ford.

The movie is already filming in Los Angeles under the direction of Floria Sigismondi, and it's scheduled for a 2010 release.

Oh, and there's this little item from the gossip pages: Check out Dakota and Kristen all 70s-ed out as Cherie Currie and Joan Jett:
