Josh Brolin in Makeup and Costume as 'Jonah Hex'

We've got our first look at Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex. Now, we've already seen Megan Fox's scientifically impossible costume for the comic book adaptation, and since my brother actually has a small role in the film, too, I've seen his makeup for a scene after Hex tortures him. But this is the debut of Brolin's scarred-up face, which comes our way courtesy of Lainey Gossip.

Before Jimmy Hayward took over the project, replacing writers and Crank creators Neveldine and Taylor in the director's chair, Brolin was quoted as saying Hex was one of the worst scripts he'd ever read, and he meant it as a compliment. It's weird, it's violent, and it's exactly what you want for such a bizarre comic book.

The film opens August 6th of 2010, and we'll get more photos to you as they become available. In the meantime, check out more of Jonah Hex:

Why is Megan Fox's costume scientifically impossible?

That's called hyperbole.

Well, I didn't think you were serious. I just wasn't sure what you were getting at.

Perhaps it's just me but all the Brolin pics look more like a posed action figure than the real thing.

Hex's outfit does not feel scientifically impossible.

I think this is the link CB intended for Megan Fox. :)

Someday soon people are going to get sick of comic book movies. Jonah Hex may be where it starts.
