Friday, June 5, 2009 at 4:16AM The Week in Review: Carradine, Hulu, Lots of Secret Toy Surprises
The news came in bunches this week. We had more stories about bad movie concepts over the past five days than anything else. Remakes, reboots, and sequels are one thing. But the hot trend, for reasons I can't understand, is movies based on board games and toys. You'll see what I mean if you don't know already.

There was also some sad news on Thursday, when it was revealed that David Carradine died at the age of 72. Whether or not his death was accidental or a suicide makes no difference. What really matters is that Carradine was a cat who clearly did his own thing all the time, and did so before it could even be viewed as possibly lucrative. Could he have been a bigger star? Maybe. But then he wouldn't have been David Carradine.
