Tony Scott, Denzel Beam Up Chris Pine

The new Captain Kirk is cashing in, and who can blame him? Chris Pine from Star Trek is in negotiations to join Denzel Washington in Tony Scott's upcoming thriller, Unstoppable. According to Variety, Pine had been weighing his options following his breakout role in this summer's biggest movie so far, and went with Unstoppable after a dinner meeting with Scott and Denzel earlier this week. We know what the combo of Washington and Scott are all about, and Pine would certainly add some sizzle for younger audiences. In the film, Pine would play "a young conductor who jumps into a locomotive with an experienced engineer (Washington) in chase of a runaway train that carries a cargo of toxic chemicals." Typical Tony Scott action concept, and he usually smashes those pretty well. Production on the film will begin this August, and Fox will release Unstoppable next summer.
