Comic-Con Friday Schedule: It's 'Star Wars' Day

We've got another announcement about Comic Con: Friday, July 24th is Star Wars Day. There's other stuff, too, of course, but all the panels and discussions devoted to Skywalker Nation will happen in San Diego on Friday.

As for the other features, Friday marks the first Comic Con appearance ever for Peter Jackson. He'll ostensibly be talking about District 9, the film he's produding for director Neill Blomkamp, which opens about three weeks after this event. However, Jackson will no doubt update The Hobbit, Tintin, The Lovely Bones, and his plans to never work with Jack Black again.

He'll be highlighted twice on Friday, first in the District 9 panel for Sony, and then Friday evening he'll join James Cameron on stage for a discussion about the future of film. As cool as the prospect sounds, if The King of the World's monologue at E3 a few weeks ago is any indication, attendees may be in for a long sit. I'm sure you'll want to take notes, just so you can look up later all the things they talk about.

Here are the highlights; get the full lowdown on Friday's activities at Comic-Con.org.
