Lindsay Lohan Goes Both Ways, Now a Producer

Has the drain circling stopped for Lindsay Lohan? The actress/singer/mess is launching a production company called, ironically enough, Unforgettable Productions. The company has been launched with LiLo's fashion line partner, Kristi Kaylor. Wait a minute...she has a fashion line?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Mean Girls star is already hard at work developing TV projects, and also has designs on films and digital media. In a way, Lohan is the junior partner here. For one thing, Kaylor has practical business experience, and for another she spent years as an executive for Pacific Motion Pictures.

On the calendar right now is a show called Faux Real, described as a kind of fashion world Entourage, as well as a dating show entitled That's What Friends Are For. Oh...and Lohan is looking to co-produce something called a "docu-cause" with charitable organizations. My favorite part of Docu Cause was always when Mario got the hammer.

Given her past half-decade, I have a hard time believing any companies looking for a profit will go into business with her. Her bad reputation precedes her as a movie star, and the box office receipts have been below underwhelming. I mean, if you had a million bucks to invest would you think "Lindsay Lohan"? I suppose that's what Kaylor is for, but that alone doesn't give me much confidence.

Sadly, with the state of cable and network TV these days, there might be an opening for Faux Real or even another dating show. I shudder at the thought.
