First Look at Scarlett Johansson in 'Iron Man 2'

Hey, look, it's Scarlett Johansson poured into Black Widow's leather bodysuit for Iron Man 2:

The shot comes from Entertainment Weekly's second annual Comic Con edition, which hits shelves tomorrow. The Con, of course, begins next Wednesday (although for most concerned, the action starts on Thursday), and Iron Man 2 will be a big part of the event, and a big part of summer 2010. Will Johansson be a big part of the movie?

As you can see from the new EW cover, she's not going to be the only thing onscreen. In addition to Robert Downey, Jr. and Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, there are the returning Gwyneth Paltrow, the new Don Cheadle, plus Sam Rockwell, too...and then probably some minor asides to the Avengers story arc this series is a big part of.

I'm not saying it will be too crowded, but it could be. Pardon the pun, but it's the kryptonite of a lot of comic book movies.

I'm still not completely wild about ScarJo as Black Widow. Sure, the bodysuit helps (although she looked great in The Island, too, under similar circumstances), but Johansson hasn't been the performer we thought we were getting five years ago. Lots of very average stuff on her filmography these days, and third or fourth banana in a superhero movie probably won't do a lot to change that. It might be a career defibrillator, but I'm stil unconvinced that she's the best woman for the job.

Still rather have ScarJo onboard than Goop Paltry (talk about underachivers)...

Schwing! Excellent points about "ScarJo" (tee hee), but many could have said the same thing about Gwyneth two years ago. Although to be fair, she weren't prancing around in the jumpsuit.

I'll go against the main topic of ScarJo ( my appoligies) and inquire about Sam Rockwell's character. Who is Sam playing? I love him and hope he gets enough lines to get noticed, unlike his dinky few lines he had in Transformers. Remember the cop at the station who asks Sam (Shia) about his Mojo pills/drugs? Dinky.

while i love Scarlett johannssen i do have one question that maybe you as a movie expert could help with. While is it that no one in Hollywood wants to cast someone with the natural hair color? I mean it seems not only do they normally pick people of the different hair colors but it also seems they go out of their way to cast people like this. I love redheads and i don't think one woman that is a redhead in the comics or other reference material has been portrayed by an actual redhead. I mean Rachel Nichols in GI JOE Famke Jansen in Xmen and others im sure. And not just redheads everyone who's blonde seems to play people other than blondes and same with brunettes. I just dont get why they cant use a natural haired girl. Because i really find dyed hair and wigs very unattractive in most cases. I know this is trival but it has more to do with how fake hollywood is then actual hair color

There's fewer of them, for starters. But I think that's primarily just a perception. There are plenty of redheads getting work. Amy Adams has had two Oscar nominations in the past five or six years. Isla Fisher, Julianne Moore, Allyson Hannigan, Bryce Dallas Howard, Marcia Cross, Christina Hendricks from <I>Mad Men, Kate Walsh, Lauren Ambrose, somebody named Nicole Kidman, Lindsay Lohan...
