Friday, July 17, 2009 at 7:08PM Another Gyllenhaal Shot from 'Prince of Persia'
I have been surprised by the lack of stuff we've seen for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. I expected that to change next weekend at Comic Con, but to this point and beyond, it's just a cople of pictures and a video first look, but not an official trailer yet, and to my knowledge, no shots of anyone in the movie not named Jake Gyllenhaal.

There's a new shot of Jake in Entertainment Weekly, which erroneously says is the first official photo. Hell, that's several months old. But EW does have a quote of Gyllenhaal talking about why he took this much more commercial project than we're used to.
"I'm tired of taking myself so seriously," he said of the action-packed role that required months of training and a full commitment to do a lot of his own stunts. "It's nice when a stuntman turns to you and is like, 'Actors don't normally do this.'"
As for Comic Con, the movie is a part of Disney's graphic novel panel, but there's no official presence for the film and Jerry Bruckheimer and the cast. It's one of the big oversights, especially since this is the major Memorial Day release next year. What are they waiting for?
