Monday, July 20, 2009 at 5:50AM Weekend Recap: 'Potter,' Comic Con Stuff, 'Master and Commander' Sequel?
The weekend was mostly dominated by Harry Potter. That's no surprise. In addition to being another Potter flick, which will always generate headlines, Half-Blood Prince is one of the best films in the series. And it's making big money.

In the U.S., it did great but wasn't a world beater, however, internationally, the film has already produced $397 million. Holy hell, that's a lot of money. In fact, that more than doubles the film's budget. Wow. Only another $600 million to go to catch The Dark Knight.
But the past few days weren't all about the wizard. Check out some of the other headlines:
Hooray! Russell Crowe wants more Master and Commander
Who should play Bilbo Baggins?
A new international Sherlock Holmes trailer
Futurama returns to TV next year...but without the original cast?
Look for Alice in Wonderland footage at Comic Con
Italian trailer for Robert Zemeckis' A Christmas Carol
Harry Potter makes a lot of money
