Friday, July 24, 2009 at 9:58PM You've Got to Watch the New 'Tron Legacy' Trailer
Hold on to your hats, because this is about the coolest thing I've seen in a long,
long time. It's the new teaser trailer for Tron Legacy, shown this week at Comic Con. The first
movie, as it turns out, was probably a bit too far ahead of its time. But the sequel, some 30 years later,
is still in front of the curve, but not by as much.

Snippets of this footage was shown last year, much to the surprise of Comic Con attendees, but now we get
a closer approximation of where director Joseph Kosinski is headed, which is a good thing, since he's
never directed a movie before. Seriously: He's doing this and Logan's Run and he's probably best
known for that Gears of War commercial that uses the song "Mad World." That's a cool commercial and
all, but I sure hope he's up to the challenge here.
This is a damn cool trailer, but that's kind of the thing Kosinski specializes in. I should also point out
that the new title, Tron Legacy whips Tron or Tr2n or Tron 2.0 pretty easily.

Can you believe we're still over two years away from this movie? Legacy hits theaters in November
2011.

I watched it three times. If anybody before had preconcieved notions of Tron being simply a geeky, cheesy film, this trailer shattered those notions and hopfully the movie as a whole redefines the first movie but puts it in the category of coolness with everyone that it should have been all along.
Doesn't the trailer say 2010?

Looks like a pretty good video game.
Is all the movies in the future going to be in 3D?
oh I cant wait to race light cycles again when the games roll in.
This is everything it should be.
It does say 2010. That's strange. I haven't heard anything about a release date change until that point.
