Monday, July 27, 2009 at 3:59PM Red Band Trailer for 'The Goods' with Jeremy Piven
I've seen a few commercials over the past two weeks or so for The Goods:
Live Hard, Sell Hard, which stars Jeremy Piven as a salesman of a different breed. His name
is Don Ready and as the title suggests, he is neither easygoing or soft.

The Goods is directed by Neal Brennan, who co-wrote Half-Baked. That's either a
good thing or a bad thing, depending on your perception. I hearken back to the underappreciated
Used Cars from 1980 (from Robert Zemeckis, incidentally), and while this looks like it
could be much funnier than that, it's still a worthy goal in the pre-owned vehicle sub-genre, in
my opinion.
There's a new Red Band trailer over at Funny or Die, which figures, since The Goods is
produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay:
You can check out The Goods on August 14th, which is a big weekend for non-blockbusters.
Plenty of competition that weekend between District 9, Paper Heart, and
Ponyo. There's also The Time Traveler's Wife, which may be a completely different
crowd entirely.
