New Trailer for Charlize Theron in 'The Burning Plain'

I'm going to say something that could absolutely wreck your enjoyment of the trailer for The Burning Plain: What is up with all the fades to black? It's about every two seconds in this thing. I felt like I was contracting some rare form of glaucoma. However, we're showing you the trailer because it's the directorial debut of Guillermo Arriaga, the writer of the three films directed by Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu, Amores Perros, 21 Grams, and Babel. He wrote this film, as well, and he's attracted Charlize Theron and Kim Basinger for his multi-generational family drama. Yeah, it's not the ambitious kind of thing we're used to from Arriaga, and it hits theaters in September, about a year after it debuted in Venice. Maybe you've caught it at one of the many film festivals that has featured Arriaga's debut in the past several months. If not, this trailer's for you:
