'District 9' Video: Get to Know Your Alien Sex Organs

I'm hesitant to call this a "viral" video partly because it's an overused term and partly because I don't know if it has a lot of share-it-with-your-friends appeal. However, I do think it's a great supplement to the upcoming alien movie District 9, one that probably won't fit in the movie anywhere but provides those of us who are really interested in the film some backstory before we plunk down our ten bucks. Neill Blomkamp was working with Peter Jackson on the Halo movie, but before we get to that - if we ever do - Blomkamp expanded the concept behind his 2005 short film called Alive in Joburg into another of this year's more compelling science fiction movies, in a year that may have a few to brag about. I kind of get a Dharma Initiative orientation film vibe off of this new video, which explains the reproductive systems of our alien invaders.

I saw the exclusive trailer for this movie earlier today which was just released. You're right the movie is gonna be nothing like this video. The trailer i saw was pretty awesome! This movie is gonna be big! Hopefully they start showing more clips so it has time to create some buzz. They need to make alot of money if they want to do the Halo movie
