Thursday Schedule Announced for Comic Con
Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 4:04PM
The official rundown for Thursday's events at Comic Con 2009 has just been released. Technically, Wednesday night and Thursday are available, but the highlights so far are all on Thursday.

Comic Con, of course, is the biggest thing ever in the history of evers. It makes the Olympics look like a bake sale. Super Bowl? Kiss Comic Con's ass. Suck it, Obama's inauguration. This year's event will feature all the usual suspects - sci-fi, horror, and yes, even comic book movies, plus teenage vampires, animation, and other big doings. Oh, and they've got some real comic book stuff, too, which, perhaps regrettably, never gets the spotlight there anymore.
The big news is that James Cameron's Avatar is kind of the lead-off hitter this year, taking the stage at 12:45pm on Thursday, instead of waiting for Friday and Saturday. It's the first chance American audiences will get to see any footage from the film, which, if you didn't know, is the second coming of Christ. There's a very good chance the rest of the weekend will be a letdown to a lot of attendees now.
As the rest of the schedule becomes available, we'll give you updates. In the meantime, here are Thursday's high points:
11:00-12:30 Disney: 3D Panel
11:30-12:30 G.I. Joe
12:45-2:00 Avatar
2:00-3:00 Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
2:15-3:15 Astro Boy, New Moon, Sorority Row
4:45-5:15 Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus
5:15-5:45 Pandorum
5:45-6:45 Kick-Ass
8:00-10:00 Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog

It would be helpful to know which Thursday of this month it is right? The 22nd through the 226th right?
Preview night is Wednesday the 22nd, and then it's Thursday-Sunday the 26th.
