Cool 'Esquire' Video With a Few 'Inglourious Basterds'
Monday, August 10, 2009 at 2:10PM
Last week's viral video from Inglourious Basterds was a fake trailer for a propaganda film that plays a pivotal role in Tarantino's actual movie. The trailer was directed by Eli Roth, who apparently thought that doing a contemporary black and white video with modern effects was somehow more effective than, say, the kind of newsreel footage that would make his video appear authentic.

This week, Roth is back, although he didn't direct this. It's a fashion video called Can't Keep a Good Basterd Down that was produced in conjunction with the September issue of Esquire, and Roth and several other Basterds in the latest fall designs...and they they destroy a bunch of stuff while wearing the expensive clothes.
The video is the brainchild of The Departamento, and I have no idea who or what that is. Cool video though. Even if it has zero to do with the movie I still think it's more effective than the one we saw last week.
Basterds opens on August 21st.

Quentin Tarantino, a eurasian liar professing to be "part-American", which we Americans know fully he is NOT as we do not do, is finding his sales rounds for this movie to be impossible. He may be able to sell this movie to his people back home in eurasia, but Americans are plainly and simply NOT buying it.
Welcome to America, Tarantino. This is not your place to play your governments games, and WE Americans play to win, as I'm quite certain you've heard and are most absolutely and undeniably aware.
They need all the publicity they can get because I want Tarantino to keep making movies.
