Monday, August 10, 2009 at 9:11PM Sweet Comic Con Trailer for 'Kick-Ass' Now Online
Outside of the camera work by the intrepid videographer at Comic Con, there's a great deal to like about the trailer for Kick-Ass, which emerged from the world's largest event of its kind as one of the sentimental favorites.

To begin with, it looks like a ton of violent fun, with more blood per square inch than I ever thought we'd see, certainly in a trailer. Secondly, anytime you can work a Joan Jett song into your trailer, that's A-OK by me. And then, of course, there's the concept alone from Mark Millar. Hopefully you know a little bit about it already, but if not, enjoy the trailer.
The unusual collection of heroes contains McLovin', young British actor Aaron Johnson, and Lyndsy Fonseca, plus to add some kind of star power, Nic Cage and Mark Strong.

See how cool that is? Looks damn fun. I hope it's a hit for director Matthew Vaughn, who really deserves one. It's supposed to come out next year, and when we get an update - or, perhaps, a trailer that won't give you vertigo - we'll let you know.
