Poster - Hilary Swank as 'Amelia'

When she's on her game, Hilary Swank can be really, really good. She flat out earned her two Oscars in an era where a lot of winners are determined by the publicity machines. Of course, those two roles represent most of her quality performances, and since it's been a few years since Million Dollar Baby, maybe she's due for a turnaround. Of playing Amelia Earhart in the aptly titled Amelia, all I can say is she really, really looks the part. Hopefully Swank can build on finding that point of identification with the character and give us another memorable performance. You would certainly want one for an Amelia Earhart movie; she did kind of change the world. Cinema Blend got a hold of the new poster for Amelia, which reasonably enough, features Swank all dressed up as the world's most famous aviatrix. I like the layout of it but wish it were less shadowy. A brighter poster, I think, would change the mood of it a little bit. Amelia will be in theaters on October 23rd, which puts it right in the heart of the awards season. Gee, I wonder if voters will pay any attention to a two-time winner playing an American icon.

WOW it will be just simply put brilliant, fascinating, and unbelievable....that wasnt really put simply lol but whatever...

I sure hope this will be great and earn her hardware I mean she looks so much like her and the part... its a bit scary

Oh and great point on the poster, maybe being brighter would enhance it a bit more... great point!!!
