Friday, August 14, 2009 at 5:55AM Week in Review - New Stooges, 'Anne Frank' and 'Poltergeist' Heading Back to Theaters
It's Friday again, time to take a look back at the headlines from this week. There were a couple, like a new version of The Diary of Anne Frank, that nobody saw coming, and then there are some trailers and casting updates that we've kind of been anticipating for a while.

It's been a little over a week since John Huges passed away, and today a film festival in his honor opens in Tempe, AZ. We've got the full details of that event below as well as the rest of the week's news, plus my own defense against G.I. Joe director Stephen Sommers, who called movie critics meaningless days after his movie - which is about to go into a freefall at the box office - opened at number one. A little early for a victory lap, I think.
