I took a beating from our readers last week over the trailer for Law Abiding Citizen. I didn't like it; almost everybody else did. That's the short story.

The long story involves Gerard Butler carrying out what appears to be a very elaborate and expensive scheme to get revenge against the killers of his wife and daughter and the lawyer (Jamie Foxx) responsible for freeing them. Didn't seem plausible to me in any way, and the movie doesn't need to be that implausible with Butler and Foxx on board. Others felt wildly differently about it.
To show there's no hard feelings, here's some video that the film's director, F. Gary Gray, shot on the set of the film and Tweeted earlier today with the message, "This EXPLOSION is from last night on the set of 'Law Abiding Citizen' N'Joy!"
Not a great big explosion, but it's pretty good background on how filmmakers mesh effects with the real thing. As Gray says, the film opens on October 16th.
