So Final Destination 4 is called The Final Destination
, and to me that implies that Death finally sets the world right. Everyone who was supposed to die all this time has finally died. The man in the black robe finally beat Max von Sydow in a game of chess.

There's very little variation in any of these movies, of course, although the second one gets bonus points for ingenuity. It was surprisingly entertaining, I thought, and outside of the bus in the first film, had by far the best kill shots in the series. And that, ultimately, is what the Final Destination flicks are all about.
The fourth movie ups the ante by coming right at us in 3-D. Will it help? I guess it could, but only if we haven't seen these kinds of kills before. However...this new clip is not encouraging. Don't they have a scene in every one of these movies were somebody works around heavy machinery and claims an expertise with such machinery as the reason they won't get killed, only to be on the wrong side of the machine when it matters most? Thought so. Now imagine this in 3-D...
