Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 5:49PM Weird New Posters for 'Surrogates'
I'll be interested to see how Surrogates plays out. It seems rather familiar, this story of technology going too far forcing mankind to ratchet it back and take some control of the world it let spin out of control. But sci-fi can come up with a ton of cool concepts, so maybe there's hope below the theme.

You probably already know that Bruce Willis plays a cop in a world that exists above ground - where it is populated by replicants, called Surrogates, who go about the day-to-day business of their hosts, who live underground where it's safe. But then Surrogates start to get murdered, meaning another Surrogate has to be responsible.
A series of new posters has cropped up over at IGN. They remind me of the season one teaser posters for The Sarah Connor Chronicles, for obvious reasons. Check 'em out:

Incidentally, though this is based on a graphic novel, Surrogates is written by the same guys who penned the past two Terminator movies, and it's directed by T3's Jonathon Mostow. The film opens on September 25th.

Geez, no kidding. You'd think they would try and go for something... oh I don't know ... different? Any of those could have Sarah Connor Chronicles pasted over Bruce Willis Surrogates and no one would notice. That Terminator writers and T3's director are on this make me wonder if such similarity is all just coincidence (insert- think not) but why even give people anything other than thoughts of the film you've made?
are they trying to make the machine part look as fake as possible, it looks like SciFi B movie effects. I can render that level of graphics on my home machine.
