Cooper Goes Batman for 'Green Lantern' Audition

Ryan Reynolds is your new Green Lantern, of course, but there was a hotly contested battle among quite a few actors for the starring role in DC Comics' next franchise. One of those guys was Bradley Cooper from The Hangover and way too many romantic comedies.

Cooper appeared on Conan O'Brien this week and talked about his screen test for the role. He's complimentary of Reynolds and confident it didn't help his chances that his audition was basically an impression of another famed comic book hero. And, of course, he shares his impression with O'Brien and the audience.

Check it out:

He's right; that's a bad Batman impression. But since the voice itself is so bad, it's hard to care. You can next see Bradley Cooper in All About Steve with Sandra Bullock, which opens on September 4th. Or, if you haven't seen it already, The Hangover is still in theaters.

Ryan Reynolds > Bradley Cooper. If anyone saw Midnight Meat Train (and box office numbers indicate you didn't) he was horrible trying to play a tough lead. He's a guy who will get rich playing "that guy" in movies but if he's the focal point of a movie I'd be concerned.

Thats kinda cool he actually revealed that to us...

You dont hear often times actors "auditioning" for parts and then talking about them in public for the world let ALONE IF THEY DIDNT EVEN GET THE PART... lol

Yeah Bradley Cooper I mean you can tell just by his personality is "that guy" kinda thing, fun, comedic, outgoing (a little too much for my taste), and like a buddy buddy kinda guy in films...
