Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 4:27PM Rob Zombie Talks 'Werewolf Women of the SS'
We know they're making Machete, we've heard they're planning a feature-length version of
Don't and possibly Thanksgiving, and now Rob Zombie's talking - hypothetically - about a possible
movie based on his Grindhouse trailer, Werewolf Women of the SS.

It's a bit odd that as many as four movies might pop up out of Grindhouse, which was a pretty king-sized flop
two years ago. I would guess if any of these other spin-offs happen, it will depend on the success of
Machete, which Robert Rodriguez is currently shooting. As for Zombie and Werewolf Women, he tells
Hollywood.com, "I think the time is right. I feel that the Nazi movie is back," perhaps referencing Tarantino's
Inglourious Basterds.

"Once the trend comes back, the Nazi trends comes back, now you pervert it like crazy and you add werewolves. So, I don't know if we'll ever see that movie, but now is the time. The time is now to strike with this."Just in case, Zombie says he already has the story in mind. "It's so insane, it's ridiculous. It involves time travel. I would love to make that movie," Zombie admits. Grindhouse was made like a traditional movie; they spent a lot of money. I would like to go make Werewolf in two weeks with no money." There are overt references to the 1973 exploitation film Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS in Zombie's trailer. That's by no means a recommendation, but if you're interest in Nazploitation, that's a good place to start.

Ilsa is a decent movie actually. It's great exploitation with a ridiculous plot, steering from cheesy to truly shocking.
Rob has talked about doing this since before Grindhouse was released. He even polled his MySpace followers a few months back to see if there was any interest. I'd rather see Don't and Thanksgiving given the full-length treatment first myself.
