Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 8:21AM Worthington, Theron Sign Up for 'The Tourist'
Sam Worthington continues his hot streak, singing on for another high profile film, this time a remake of the French spy drama, Anthony Zimmer. The new version of the story will be called The Tourist and pairs Worthington (Terminator Salvation, Avatar, Clash of the Titans) with Charlize Theron.

Tom Cruise had originally been linked to the project, but he decided instead to make the James Mangold drama previously titled Wichita with Cameron Diaz, which now has no title but will begin production soon.
Worthington would play one of two roles, either an American traveler in Paris that Theron, an INTERPOL agent, uses as bait to lure a wanted criminal, or the wanted criminal...who also happens to be Theron's former lover. Man, spies lead complicated lives. Presumably, Worthington would play the tourist, hence the title of the film, even if based just on the description, he seems like a better choice for the other role.
But of course, because Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day director Bharat Nalluri is directing, maybe the unexpected should be the expected. Not that Nalluri can't do a good job - I liked Miss Pettigrew, especially the little details - but it's not the first name you think of for international espionage.
The Tourist will shoot in January 2010, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which also reports that the busy Worthington will step in front of cameras for the remake of The Candidate fairly soon.

I love Charlize Theron such a talented actress
and
she works with all different kind of directors which is refreshing to see, she's not working with the same director over and over like other stars ie Denzel, Russell,Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Shia, Leonardo, ....etc
