The Latest Poster for Mike Judge's 'Extract'

So far so good for Mike Judge's new comedy, Extract. We still don't have a satisfactory explanation for what happened to Idiocracy a few years ago outside of the unofficial presumption that Fox just hated it and had no idea how to promote it. As such, that movie only made less than half a million bucks.

Extract occupies the same opening weekend, Labor Day, but Miramax is putting it out and there's been a lot more going on in advance of its release, like a great trailer, some clips, and now the second poster. I don't love this one, but I understand you've got to put the stars on display sometime.

As you can tell, the stars include Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Mila Kunis, and J.K. Simmons. The best thing about the poster has to be how they roll in that this is from the director of Office Space. Few comedies of the past 20 years have the sort of loyal following that movie does, so a workplace comedy by the same guy is a definite selling point.

After 3 years of visiting the site, i think im going to stop visiting, these adverts are all over the place, (the full screen ones) i cant be bothered to view a add when i come to the site, and everytime i click a link.

Colin, did you see Idiocracy? I rented it, and even though the concept was interesting, the movie was incredibly boring. I only hope that Mike Judge pulls his head out and makes something decent ouf of this film.

I'd prefer an e-mail on these matters, and frankly, the only full-page ads I've seen were screencaps somebody else sent in. So as the site loads, I haven't come into contact with them yet. I've removed that code for the time being, though. What were they selling?

As for Idiocracy, it was OK, but it failed my litmus test for a comedy: Was it funnier than its own concept? And it wasn't.

they were adverts for UFC 101, and a few large trailers for films. when i came to the site one came up, and then when i clicked a link onto something that i wanted to "read more" i'd get another one!
