First 'Clash of the Titans' Footage Coming Friday
Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 8:50AM
What about Clash of the Titans? Is this something we're all interested in? I've seen some pictures and stuff and it really hasn't revved my motor. I like Sam Worthington, have that thing for Gemma Arterton that's going around, and director Louis Leterrier has built a good supporting cast, but I'm just not feeling it. Not yet.

Maybe the new footage will change that. We're getting our first real look at Titans this Friday on an episode of MTV's Behind the Screen, and if you miss it then, it probably won't stay offline very long; we'll almost certainly have something for you by Monday at the latest.
I will say, however, that even though this update hasn't exactly carved itself into my brain, I am anxious to see the footage just to find out why they had to make this movie in the first place. I don't mind that they did it, but as with everything, simply doing it to make money isn't terribly satisfying for me. So hopefully they've found a way to tell the story a little better and contemporize the visuals while paying homage to Ray Harryhausen.
The film comes out on March 26th, which is an odd time. I wonder why they're not dropping it in the summer? Playing of the 300-did-well-in-March philosophy, as if people are more mythologically minded in early spring.

I just want to see if Mr. Worthington can give us a better view of his ability besides the dismal Terminator
