Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 7:23PM Stay Classy: 'Anchorman' Sequel is Happening
The most recent update on a possible Anchorman sequel came last week from Judd Apatow, who co-produced the film before his own stuff became the new school of comedy. Now Adam McKay, co-writer and diretor of the first movie, confirms to MTV that it's on like Donkey Kong.

"Maybe we'll start writing the script during post-production on [The Other Guy]," said McKay. "Movies take a while, so probably the closest you would ever see it happening is two years from now."
"But we are definitely doing it," he added. "It's just a matter of when, and scheduling."
McKay also says that the cast - which I assume includes everyone but Christina Applegate, although I suppose she's a possibility, too - loves the idea he and Will Ferrell have hatched, but even if there had been a concept and the dedication to see it through sometime in the past five years, scheduling would have always been a concern, particularly because of Steve Carell.
My position on this is simple: What else would you rather see Will Ferrell do? And what other cast would you rather he worked with on a new movie? The potential downside is huge, I'll admit, but the ceiling for an Anchorman 2 is much higher than anything else on the horizon for Ferrell.

What I'd rather see Ferrell do? Get off the big screen totally and never make a movie again. And to choose any movie he ever did to make a sequel of, it definitely wouldn't be one of the worst comedies ever made. Anchorman is pure trash
Well, agree to disagree, then.
Milk was a bad choice.
To spluftin: U R a moron!
Christina Applegate BETTER be back (and have Amy Poehler in this time- she was cut out of the first :( ), if McKay and Ferrell know what's good for them...
ok Honz, thanks...mr. I can't figure out the correct usage of the word "you're" so I'll use capital letters. But I'm a moron cause I hated a movie that is too filthy for children, but too childish for adults. If you find a movie funny cause of an immature script and things kids would do, then maybe you sir, are the moron.
You have no idea how sh*tty movies for kids AND adults can be until you get a load of MY IMBD resume!
To spluftin: I'm sorry u have no personality or sense of humor. And i'm sorry about using letters in some spots instead of words. I guess we could all live in the stone age with u.
