Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11:02PM DiCaprio, Gordon-Levitt on 'Inception' Set
Christopher Nolan's Inception will open next July, in the same slot where The Dark Knight made all that money last year. And it's going to need similar kind of business to be worth the investment: This is a budget rumored to cost $200 million, and as far as I know, there's not a single car that becomes a giant talking space robot in the entire movie.

But we've seen some shots from Japan, France, and now Los Angeles, so we can kind of see where the expense is coming in. Plus, they could have saved a few dimes putting Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in pleather, but something tells me those jackets are the real deal. These pics come to us from Just Jared, and if you want to see Leo walk around the set, be my guest. There are about 15 pics in all.
Inception also stars Marion Cotillard, Ken Watanabe, Ellen Page, Michael Caine, and Cillian Murphy. No pictures of their fashions just yet, if that's your jones, although there was one of these shots of Leo and Cotillard kissing in Paris while filming a scene. These photos remind me a lot of Donnie Brasco.

Very excited for this, I cant wait to see Joseph Gordon Levitt most of all, then Cillian Murphy (who I have no idea why is not a HUGE star by now) and then Marion Cotilliard...
Leo very much strikes me a lot like looking like Christopher Nolan in these pics, as well as the teaser trailer.... Thats where I first noticed it..
Seemed kinda weird to me, did anyone else notice this or think this????
I get the Donnie Brasco vive for sure... I won't be surprised to see some of this cast show up in the next Batman too. Many a good choice of villains from that lot.
I still vote Guy Pearce as Black Mask, which I've said for a year. But if there's a way to use Ken Watanabe or even Joseph Gordon-Levitt, I say go for it.
Ken Watanabe was already in Batman Begins... case in point for Nolans love of recycling actors (Watanabe, Caine, Murphy) that I'd say theres a good chance for your pick of pierce (and/or gordon levitt, cotillard, page or even dicaprio) being the next baddies.
Oh yes, you're right. Sorry; it was very late when I wrote that comment about Watanabe.
Levitt would be a pretty good batman bad guy, it all depends on which character he;d play though and doesn't ham it up like he did with Cobra Commander in GI Joe.
He was even worse in Killshot with Mickey Rourke. Normally, I really like him, but those were two bad performances.
In Levitt's defense, Killshot was pretty bad overall... felt like a crappy script and direction, with the actors struggling to do something with what little they had.
