Get Informed: Seven Clips from 'The Informant!'

The studios don't like it when you see a movie early and spill your guts about it prior to the film's release date. It's a little different with film festivals, because there's an expectation that you cover those things, but in general, you're supposed to keep your big mouth shut until opening day, even if you liked it. So, I'm going to bend the rules of embargo and just tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed The Informant! with Matt Damon. We'll save the specifics for the review, which will be published on the 18th, but I thought Steven Soderbergh made a really complete film with all the pieces working together, from a cast lined with comedians in non-comedic roles to the production design to Scott Burns' script to the triumphant return of Marvin Hamlisch to the composer's chair. Yeah, Hamlisch. Who knew? So I'm recommending that you see it; it's as funny as the trailers make it seem, but it's never out of control.
