Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 12:51PM Trailer - Michael Caine Kicks Ass in 'Harry Brown'
There is absolutely nothing left to say about the career of Michael Caine; just sit back and watch the guy act. He's not only among the best actors in the history of film, he's also one of the most versatile. I mean, what hasn't he done in the past half-century?

Luckily for us, Caine doesn't look at it that way. He continues to work and tries to find interesting roles, which is not always easy for a guy in his 70s. Sure, he squandered much of the 1980s and became a bit of a punchline, but his evolution as an actor has been a real pleasure to watch.
His latest film, the gritty Harry Brown, plants Caine's retired Marine in the middle of an urban drug war going on in his neighborhood. And then, a British Gran Torino breaks out, to which I say: Awesome.

Harry Brown played the Toronto Film Festival and will open in the UK on November 13th. No US release date has been announced by Lionsgate yet, but hopefully we can get to it the early part of 2010.
And how about that poster? That's a throwback to his Get Carter days.

Even cooler that the film's directed by Pete Tong.
Actually it's directed by Daniel Barber

"who knew alfred was a bad ass motherfucker?"
Anyone who's seen Get Carter. Buy the original, not the Stallone atrocity. One of the best British gangster films ever.
