New 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' Character Posters

Empire (by way of IMP Awards) has a stash of new character posters for The Fantastic Mr. Fox. This is based on the Roald Dahl book, with director Wes Anderson going the stop-motion animation route. I certainly think some kind of animation is the way to go here, obviously, but I was surprised when Anderson not only envisioned this version but also got the go -ahead to make it. With CG animation now one of the most viable forms of films we have, taking what could be seen as an unnecessary risk like this with a beloved story speaks well of Fox's support of the project. Anderson put together a really good cast of voice actors, and you can see the rundown as you happily view the new posters. Incidentally, if I ever get new business cards for some reason, I want to steal Michael Gambon's title, "The Soundrel." Mr. Fox comes your way on November 25th, which is the day before Thanksgiving.
