Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 2:37AM Are You Off To See 'The Wizard' on September 23rd?
A little over a month ago, we told you that The Wizard of Oz was
returning to theaters for one night only. And so that you don't miss it, that one night is
tomorrow. Yep, Wednesday, September 23rd, one of the world's most beloved movies will be in
selected theaters in advance of the 70th anniversary DVD and Blu-ray release.

Warner Bros. Home Video and Fathom Entertainment are presenting Oz in high definition on
September 23rd at 7:00pm local time. Just fill in your ZIP code to find out where it will be
playing near you. The movie will be accompanied by the new featurette, To Oz! The Making of a
Classic.
The Blu-ray is pretty much the same thing, so you can wait to pick that up on September 29th, but
if you have the chance to see it in theaters, this is probably your best chance. I mean, it has
never looked better and back in 1939, this was the only outlet filmmakers had, so sitting in the
big, dark room is the preferred way to do this one.
Unless, of course, you've got a Blu-ray player and Dark Side of the Moon. That would change your life.
