Chow Yun-Fat in Breathtaking 'Confucius' Trailer
Friday, September 4, 2009 at 12:24AM
I think Chow Yun-Fat is really underrated, though his decision to take a part in Dragonball can't really be defended. But on the whole, I think he's put together a pretty impressive body of work, and has managed to always be one cool dude.

He's playing the legendary philosopher Confucius in a new film of the same name. And when you watch this trailer, please keep in mind that it cost about 1/8th what they spent on G.I. Joe. And then tell me which movie you think got more for its money.
Perhaps not surprisingly, the trailer for Confucius is pretty meditative. It's also incredibly colorful, epic, and wordless. And worth your immediate attention.

Sometimes trailers use previously recorded music, but I really hope that's the original scrore for the movie. That's a beautiful piece of music. There's no American release date yet, but you have to figure some studio is going to see what we just watched and gobble this up.

i love the vid thx for it mayne
Pffft! Clearly G.I. Joe benefited the most hands down. How many falling Eiffel Towers do you see in this trailer I ask you? Hmmm? That's right count 'em up, zero! For that matter, where's Confucius' Delta 6 accelerator suit? That's right couldn't afford one on such a measly budget. Though it's funny that the original title Confucius: Wise of The K'ung-Fu-Tzu was changed to simply Confucius, I doubt this will do enough box office to warrant a Confucius 2.
Which if you think about it is a shame really as sequels introduce a myriad of possibilities. As proof of that one need look no further than G.I. Joe 2 where Cobra learns the first Eiffel Tower thing was all fake and done with computers! Cobra commander gets really cheesed off by that and promptly inserts his foot up Destro's [insert places the sun don't shine] and proceeds to take down that "damn fu-fu tower" [actual dialogue snip] once and for all.
Oh yeh, fire up the jiffy pop popcorn kids... it's on!
Best. Comment. Ever.
Wow, didn't know G.I. Joe had such colorful and intelligent fans.
