Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 10:01AM First 'Up in the Air' Clip with George Clooney
If there's an actor in show business better at talking up women in a movie than George Clooney, I have no idea who that would be. And the reasons pretty much speak for themselves. He stars in Jason Reitman's new kinda romantic kinda comedy Up in the Air, which has already played Telluride and hits Toronto in a few days.

In the film, based on the book by Walter Kim, Clooney plays a frequent business traveler who might have to give up all those miles and perks for a corporate promotion just as he meets the perfect woman for him, who's also on the road all the time.
Not surprisingly, the first clip from Up in the Air, released today by Apple, features Clooney and Vera Farmiga playing a game up one-upsmanship with their frequent flyer cards. It reminds me a good deal of one of my favorite movie moments where you know two characters are going to do it, the scar comparison from Lethal Weapon 3. This one's a little more civil, though.

You'll have to wait to see the whole thing unless you're festival bound. Up in the Air will be in theaters the first weekend in December.
