Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 9:47PM Praiseworthy Trailer for Clooney's 'Up in the Air'
It's already receiving terrific buzz at its fall film festival dates, and now Up in the Air has debuted a new trailer that is sure to keep your attention for the next two minutes.

The film stars George Clooney and is directed by Jason Reitman (Thank You for Smoking, Juno), and that alone should at least spark a little interest as we enter the home stretch toward gold trophy time. Throw into the mix Jason Bateman, Vera Farmiga, Zach Galifianakis, J.K. Simmons, and the fast-rising Anna Kendrick, who I assure to you is headed for big, big things.
But even if none of that floats your boat, you've got to watch this trailer. It's one of the more unique, you're-a-smart-audience teasers I've seen in a long time. It doesn't shout, it doesn't fly by. It's one point, and that point is made exceedingly well.
Hey look: A trailer that works as its own short film. Wow. Up in the Air comes your way on December 4th. Seems unfair to wait that long.

Was that also Danny McBride I saw in there? I'm stoked for this one. A buddy of mine is catching it at TIFF and I can't wait to hear what he thinks.
I was sold when I saw Thank you for Smoking and Juno.
That being said that's the best trailer I have seen in a long time.
