Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 3:31AM A Trio of New Character Posters for 'The Crazies'
Not much to say about it, but there are three new character posters from The Crazies, the Dawn of the Dead-styled remake of
George Romero's 1973 low-budget flick about a small town that gets overrun by a manmade virus. The posters arrived at Apple Trailers last night, and if you click on any of them, they magically get real big like.

They don't tell us much if we're not familiar with the story, but they're sturdy enough. Actually, so far I don't have any real complaints about how
Overture is promoting this one. The only thing is, how much will that start-up studio do to support the film once it's in theaters? Overture is
coming off two of its biggest hits, both modestly budgeted, in Law Abiding Citizen and The Men Who Stare at Goats. However,
Citizen is the high watermark for the studio with only $73 million.
Horror films, especially ones that hit the mark with genre fans, tend to do OK after opening weekend. I would expect The Crazies to at least
compete with Cop Out, also do out February 26th, and based on what I've seen, this is the one I'd watch that weekend.

Ugh, this one better see more action than Cop Out. Seriously, that is in the running for worst looking movie of the year so far.
Also, dude 1 and dude 2 look like the same dudes!
Yep, even the gore ont their faces is the same. Just slightly different angle. Must have photoshopped the outfits.
