Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 7:57PM 'Avatar' Wins Best Picture, Director at Golden Globes
You won't believe this, but I almost picked Robert Downey, Jr. to win Best Actor in a musical or comedy at The Golden Globes, and if I had, I also would've picked him for Best Speech. So that would've been two more wins. As it is, I picked Matt Damon and lost. That was the theme for the evening for my Globes picks; how did you do?

I figured the Avatar thing, and yes, my Hangover pick seems inspired now, but Sandra Bullock pulled a slight upset, and now might be the favorite in Best Actress for the Oscars. Who knew? I thought the Globes would give The Hurt Locker something, but alas, the voters were consistent with their Avatar love. James Cameron also gave a great speech, by the way.
Here are the winners from tonight's show, and remember, as much as people might say they're the first true indicator of the Oscars, that's not true. Sometimes they're on target, sometimes they're not.

I'm so happy for Sandra Bullock! she is great!
I'm from Catalonia and now are 5:10 o'clock and tomorrow I going to work, but I love sandra bullock untill I were a so little kid(5 years old may be) and tonight I'm the happinest for her!
She is incredible and this award have his name finally! I hope the oscars award have his name too!
I was disappointed in 3 categories...you all probably know which ones
Best Actress Drama : I wanted Carey Mulligan but I should have realized Sandra would've pulled the upset, just for the fact that there has been SOOOOO much buzz for the past year she has had & her "comeback" similar to Rourke's last year....so I guess buzz may be more important than actual performance, sometimes....
Screenplay : Ohhh why why??? Come on, I desperately wanted QT - Inglorious Basterds to win & I believe it will for the Academy Awards....I mean even Jason Reitman admitted QT shouldve been up there....
Best Actor Comedy : Downey really won just for the fact that he has high connections to industry & studio execs in my opinion his performance wasn't great or a stretch for him... I mean I really feel bad for Matt Damon to be honest, in his entire career he has been underrated & had a great year in his career & he just doesn't take home any hardware which disappoints me b/c he really is a genuine cool guy & underrated actor
---Downey did have a terrific speech though, very funny....
I'm not too pissed Avatar took Best Pic Drama & Best Director, hopefully the Academy Awards will give both of those categories to The Hurt Locker which got completely snubbed... otherwise screw the Academy Awards
GOOO JEFF BRIDGES, YAY very happy about that...
OHHHH & Ricky Gervais KICKED ASS, THAT GUY IS JUST THEEE MAN!!!
Dont you love how he just ripped Mel Gibson WOW! HAHA,
I picked 7 out of 14 - Best Director, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor (Comedy/Musical), Best Screenplay, Best Score, Best Animated Film (but anyone could have guessed that) and Best Foreign Language Film. I really thought Marion Cotillard would win for Nine, because Meryl Streep got all the awards buzz last year for Doubt.
It is nice to find a site about my interest.
