New Trailer for Bong Joon-Ho's 'Mother'

I don't know if Bong Joon- Ho can be considered one of the world's greatest filmmakers yet, but over the past several years, fewer directors have given us more exciting, engrossing work. The best news for us is that he's just getting started. Three movies in, and he gets much, much better and more assured with each film. The Host is one of the great monster movies of all time, and Bong is following it up with Mother, described in the new trailer as "the best Hitchcock movie in decades" and, well, praise doesn't get a whole lot higher than that. Of course, that's also a lot to live up to, maybe too much for a guy's fourth feature film. So, please, watch the trailer, and get to know a director we're going to be hearing from for years and years to come. Mother was South Korea's official Foreign Language Oscar submission, but it didn't make the most recent round of semi-finalists. Hopefully, that doesn't keep a distributor from taking a shot with it later in the year.
